Help verizon galaxy s3 android version??

hey i was just wondering what is the latest android version? i have 4.1.2 ... i was wondering if there is another update.. and is it possible to update it some how without a simcard?? because im using this phone with wifi thank you... everytime i try to update is automatically it wont so i just wanted to know if i already have the latest or not thanks
 
If you don't have an active phone account, and the phone was bought from a carrier, you'll have to update it yourself.

If it was bought as an unbranded phone, Samsung will update it.

The last official "update" I've heard about is 4.3, which should be the plot of an Alfred Hitchcock movie called "The Bugs!". The rumor is that 4.3.2 is supposed to fix the bugs. (I think the rumor comes from the same place that wrote the bugs, so ...)
 
before you update which i believe you can use kies to do so know that 4.3 comes with difficulties of rooting mostly knox which allows samsung knowing you rooted voiding warranty, if you do root you can probally find a 4.3 based rom
 
Ok so in your point of view should i upgrade to 4.3. Or you think i should just root.? Because i hate the fact you cant move apps too sd card. If i were to root. Can you please tell me the easiest way to root. Its verizon. Sch-i535. Ive rooted a couple phones before. I appreciatevit
 
me im a rooter so i always say yes....but that however is your choice i would just read up on it before you decide i just wanted to give you the info before you might of decided to update then try to root
 
if i were you i would find out the following before you root

1 how to root your specific phone
2 which recovery you wanna use and how they work
3 how to return to stock and about triangle away(reset trip counter)
4 what rom suits you
