[Verizon] Having trouble sending picture messages

It just stays at "Sending" in the message tab with no indication why. I'm using a network extender (model number SCS-26UC4) as I don't get much signal at home. I suspected that may be the problem but I unplugged it and restarted my phone and I'm sitting at between 1 and 2 bars 3G and it still won't send. I don't seem to have this problem when I'm not at home but I get 4G just about everywhere else. Anyone know what to do?

Actually it could be it just doesn't have enough signal as now I'm looking at no bars (but it still says 3G) when it's unplugged but I don't see why it can't MMS through the network extender. I think this is one of the pre 3G network extenders but my Droid Pro and Blackberry never had problems MMSing through it. I'm also using wifi but I'm guessing it can't send through that. It shows full bars 3G most of the time when it's plugged in. Sometimes it switches to 1 or 2 bars 4G (off the tower I guess) but I can also force my phone to 3G in the settings to keep it at the network extender but it still has problems sending. Also SMS and voice calls aren't affected at all.

EDIT: Forgot to mention I'm rooted and using stock 4.0.4.
 
This is a known issue, at least on 4.0.2, I guess it's not fixed in 4.0.4.

Just watch carefully everytime you send an mms to make sure it goes through, otherwise resend it. I find that sending another mms will also force past stuck ones to go through.
 
known issue. A Lot of people have suffered from this at one point or another. ..me included. Hopefully future updates make it better. Which is probably why we haven't seen an official update yet. I'm not convinced that 4.0.4 is going to be the next official.

Yeah, I hope the leaked 4.0.4 OTA isn't official. Because it still hadn't fixed a few of the bugs (MMS send being one of them). :(
 
I had the same problem when I got my GNex. I upgraded to the 3G enabled network extender and have zero issues since. It's kind of expensive but if send or receive a lot of MMS messages it may be worth it to you. BTW if it's a known signal issue at your house sometimes Verizon will reduce the price a bit.
