[Verizon] help me connection

I have had my gn for a couple days now and today i finally unlocked and rooted it. Well now that its all said and done i can not conect to web. It shows bars and 3g but they are grey and not blue. I am still stock no roms yet. Is there a fix for this everything was fine before doing the unlock and root
 
that happened to me for a few hours once. it resolved itself. you can always flash the stock image and relock. or try flashing new radios now that you're rooted anyway.

This is (I believe) a GNex issue not necessarily related to unlocking and rooting (unless you did some other stuff during the process. Cycle your phone to Airplane mode, let it sit for 10-15 seconds, and cycle back. I know this has been a solution for my GNex when I had the same problem (both pre and post unlock and root).

Unlocking the bootloader would have no effect on the radios or the OS other than the factory reset. Rooting simply installs superuser.apk and I think another set of binaries. Again, these would have no effect on communication.

Have you tried just rebooting your phone since you rooted and unlocked?
 
i tried airplane and on off nothing worked. Then a couple hours after just all has been good. Thanks fo the suggestions though
