Hey mate! One last question / idea...

Did you ever try using the 4.0.1 stock / factory images to restore?

Perhaps there's an issue in the 4.0.2 bootloader, etc. that is keeping you from re-locking, etc., and that the 4.0.1 ones might have better success... Worth a short, anyways...

Give it a try if you haven't already and let us know...

Thanks for the suggestion, but it was a no go. I'll be returning the phone (as I have to return either the one they sent me or my original within 5 days) to avoid being charged full retail price. Hope I can catch a break!

Update: Well I mailed it back and they got it this past Monday. No calls or weird charges on my account so far! Hopefully it stays that way.
