[Verizon] Help, softbricked, cant access cwm recovery!

mdunn1066

Long story short i rushed when rooting my GN because im pretty familiar with rooting android phones. I did not realize you needed to modify a file to be able to boot into CWM other than using rom manager.

My question is, is there a way to get the stock image on the phone, or, use my computer to fix this? Because currently my phone is in a bootloop (I installed gummynex improperly, rushing and forgot to wipe data, yeah i know i asked for it.,..)

If i boot into the stock recovery all it does is let me turn the phone on, i cant select anything other than an option called "Start"
HALP!

If you installed CWM and then used it to install GummyNex, then CWM is still there. Boot to the fastboot mode (hold down vol up + down, and the power button), then use the volume up and down buttons until the big arrow at the top says "RECOVERY", then press the power button. It should boot into CWM.

You know i feel kind of stupid but i was only holding volume down and power because i was used to doing that with my thunderbolt.... My phone is sitting at home while im at work furiously searching for a solution when now im pretty sure im gonna go home, hold both buttons and its gonna work just fine...

Well thanks... lmao... Been rooting and toying with android phones since the day the nexus 1 was released... i guess we all have blonde moments lol

Actually yes. I was indeed pressing the wrong buttons to access the recovery like an idiot lol. All is well now except i have to exchange my phone because i literally just noticed a purple blotch which is a defect in the screen, top right corner. And ive had the phone for 35 days.. go figure lol. vzw rep said on the phone a warranty exchange will be no problem for that issue though.
