4. will they get it then activate it for me
plz ans Q's and explain process

Why do you want to cancel your contract? If you cancel it early you will be hit with an early temination fee. If you really want to you can single out your number and create its own account for it that way it leaves there numbers alone. But i don't know why you want to go through the hassle of cancelling your contract, but thats up to you. You might just want to call them up and see what they'll do for you. If you've been with them for an extended period of time they might do something special for you.

If you cancel a contract in your name you have to wait like 90 days or something to start a new one.

EDIT: I think that also applies to any contracts at the same address.

Yeah what exactly are you trying to accomplish? By the time its all said and done you could have just bought a new inc on ebay and called it good!

the fee for cancleing is about 100$ for some people (depending on remaining contract amount) and the DINC costs 199$ with a 2 year contract. so total price after cancle and recontract is 299$

now if you just upgrade to it using retail pricing then you pay 530$.
why would i pay retail if i could cancel and then re-sign up...
now, people are saying that if you cancel a contract than you cant start a new one..

what if he adds a line to his contract with the DINC on it, then cancle the current line and pay the cancelation fee for the current line?

the only problem i see with that is the phone number change you would have to do.

any thoughts?
