By putting HUGE signs next to the Thunderbolt on release day that said, "NETFLIX AND SKYPE COMING SOON!"

I got baited.

I want my damn Netflix ffs.

I have to agree with you Netflix would be nice, but I am confident that it will be coming with Gingerbread hopefully this month so I can wait.

They never said anything about Netflix on the thunderbolt, ever.

Skype - You have a case there. But shortly before launch, any word of skype was removed from all advertising since they knew it wouldn't be ready.

So I was imagining the HUGE sign on the Thunderbolt display setup that said, "NETFLIX COMING SOON!"?

It's alright, we won't need Skype once the CM7 build the TB runs gets updated to 2.3.4. Then we'll have Google Talk with Video! ;)

Verizon's definition of "soon" is around a year or seven.

I mean, given their past experiences with the TB and Charge, and what's happened with the Bionic. Plus, they were dead last on getting the Galaxy S out of the gate.

just FYI... the pre-alpha with 2.3.4 GApps works so you have google talk with voice
oh, and I was also able to stream netflix with no problem
for being pre-alpha I find it to be stable, but still has a few serious quirks (handoff from 4g)
