[Verizon] I bricked my Galaxy Nexus. :(

I didn't brick it while rooting. It turns out when I tried to flash an AOKP (JB you know what i'm talking about) I only installed part of it. I stupidly flashed the rom and then flashed the optional onscreen button thing. Now my phone is bricked and I don't know what to do. I tried to connect it to my pc and transfer over another rom, but my pc won't recognize it.:(

I know if there's anybody to ask, it's you guys.

So, what should I do?
 
Try to boot back into recovery you should be able to get there. Power off and hold volume up and down then hold Dow power until you get a vibration this should get you to fast boot. Them use the volume keys to select recovery and press power. Of you made a backup restore it. If not you can get adb to work in recovery

Didn't make a recovery and I already tried to wipe data and everything. :(

Thanks 4 trying though.

Is JB me>? I didn't know you tried to do this :confused:, but would love to help you.

Pull your battery out of the phone. Put it back in. Push the volume toggle up AND down at the same time and hold it there. Now push the power button and hold it. So your pushing all buttons and holding till phone powers up. Do you see the android man and "START" at the top?
 
OK, now i'm just wondering if anyone can give me step by step directions for the fullscreen mod. I looked at the thread and got lost at step 1... I'm really wary of messing with the Nexus right now. BTW thanks SO MUCH guys for all the support. :)
 
Make sure you have a rom that is supported and download the zip for your rom at the link in the OP of the full screen mod thread here.

Also download the newest version of the launcher app linked in the OP. Install it once downloaded and set up either the pie chart navigation or set up the gestures. After that play around with it for a bit to get used to it ;)

Once you are used to the naviagation boot into recovery, make a backup and flash the zip you downloaded initially, then reboot and you are done :D
 
Glad you got it worked out... the first thing that popped in my mind when I read this thread was... isn't that the user that thanked (spam thanked = spanked?) every post early on and how much it annoyed some users... karma ;) just kidding around :p

now... if I ever try to flash anything, I am guaranteed to have a brick! :eek:
 
I thought I bricked my phone last night. I was trying to restore an Nandroid backup to a Bootmanager slot and it just turned off. Wouldn't turn on, battery pull, nothing. Charged it for an hour as my OG Droid would do that if it was low, but nothing.

Freaking out then I saw a thread online with someone in the same boat. He pulled the battery out and waited 10 minutes. I tried and it booted right up. Scared me shitless.

Just to be sure, I'm just trying to throw in some smartasm/sarcasm/humor/pokin-n-proddin is all. If your situation didn't turn out well, I wouldn't have jested.
