[Verizon] I can unlock but can't root???? JB OTA

So maybe it's just me but there seems to be a step I'm missing trying to get root to finish?

I'm unlockled now, but then I get on my phone a ton of options from team win recovery project v2.2.0
None of this I can find a step by step guide from the Wug's Galaxy Nexus Root Toolkit.

What did I miss?
Also the version of Wug's Galaxy Nexus Root Toolkit I'm using is the newest 1.5.3 that doesn't offer 2 options for Root. Just a root button and a custom recovery flash checkbox???

:confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:

Did your phone automatically reboot after unlocking the bootloader? If I recall correctly, it should have gone straight to the Google sign in page and all that

I'm pretty sure it did but then it all said I was unlocked etc on the popup window.
So maybe the unlock never finished is your thought???

OK so I ran the unlocker again and it does reboot my phone and says I'm unlocked go to root.
OK So I go to root but then i get that v2.2.0 page on my phone so it never finishes and any option I select gets me nothing for root????

Am I just not waiting long enough???

fwiw i rooted my JB ota Gnex last night. Using the Simple ADB commands. The catch is there is a different Su.zip app to use for JB than the one for ICS. It literally takes 5 minutes to do it through ADB.

Is there a guide for this? I'd like to go back to stock and take the ota, but be able to root again later if at all possible.

I used the one click from the screenshot in my first post.
Worked perfectly to go back to stock and unrooted.
Wug's Nexus Root Toolkit v1.5.3

I love Google Now.
I just wish it would respond with "Why would you want to go there?" When you ask it for the nearest Apple store. LOL!!!

I'd prefer to do it manually so a guide would be great! I'm unlocked on 4.1 but not rooted, I dint want to use wugs kit, but it is pretty easy but I'm willing to learn manual way. Would it be the same as it use to just with new commands?
