[Verizon] IMM76K Radios/Bootloader at XDA

Just flashed this radio. I just moved to a dead area in Wisconsin. In the house I am currently staying in. I have 0 bars of 3G in 3 very specific places (Moving the phone 3 feet in any direction and I drop to 1X)

Before the radio flashed I was showing -120DBM -3 ASU. Which is just enough to do some basic browsing on Wifi Tether.

After flash I am at a consistent -100DBM 6 ASU with bounces to -93DBM (HOLY SMOKES ONE BAR INSIDE THE HOUSE!?) going to do some walking around.

My only concern is that while I have noticed better strength it seems like it is taking longer to recover back to 3g. I will do more extensive testing. I only have 4G when I tag along 3rd wheel to my friend's girlfriends house. :|

my signal strength varies, but my mic bug still happens :(

so im getting the maxx on tuesday, o well i'd rather have a phone that works when i need it than a toy to play with

yea i wish they would fix the call muting issue and improve call quality a tad bit because even with the new radios it doesnt/didnt help...im not getting a razr tho lol

I just posted this in the "call problem" thread, but my friend that works for Verizon (not low level) told me that a sheet hit his desk this afternoon that talks about a maintenance update coming this month for the Nexus. He said that is has a "fix for one-way audio problem affecting some Galaxy Nexus users".

Just FYI.

Wow nice. Great news thank you for that!

Will the 4.04 radios work with a 4.0.3 ROM? I'm on an older version of Liquid because its been running great but would like to try the new radios.

No problem.

Forgive me, I couldn't resist. Of course I can't get him to send me pics of internal documents. Besides, he is a family friend and I wouldn't ask anyone to put their job on the line in this economy.

I am just glad it isn't affecting mine. Weird that it happens to some.

I'm having an increasing frequency of signal loss in areas that typically have a great signal.

Anybody that has experienced this issue found that these new radios improve this issue? Currently running the previous 4.0.4 radio leaks.

The "previous/older .4 leaks" did that exact same thing to me so I stuck with the much more reliable 4.0.2 radios. However, I'm on the newest .4 radios and they  my world!

within 90 minutes, I had a drop :(. It seems to correlate when the other radios connect/disconnect (either WiFi or BT). I'm also running AOKP m5 if anyone has suggestions.

Ya know it could be the network. Have you ever had a solid and consistent 4g connection? Also, have you tried the 4.0.2 radios?

I have had drops since I've had the phone. I've had the phone replaced multiple times, then gave up on that being the solution. I really enjoy the device (except when used as a phone, lol) and I was ultimately hoping that the (eventual) software update would fix it.

Tired of waiting, I rooted and now run 4.0.4 (AOKP M5). At first it was with 4.0.2 radios but I still had dropouts. I upgraded to the 4.0.4 leaked radios and it was great for a while (so I know my hardware can go without drops) but lately it has been HORRIBLE.

At about 6pm tonight I flashed the newer 4.0.4 radios and at 7:22pm I had a single dropout but that was it. Before I got to my breaking point, I had 16 drops from 8am to 5pm (recorded by the 'No Signal Alert' app). That's about once every 30 mins. A few of those were in a poor reception zone but the other 12 or so were not.

In my mind it seems to correlate with when I go into or leave a WiFi zone OR connect/disconnect Bluetooth....but that's just a hunch.

How long is "a while" about? Honestly I think there are more problems with the actual network (VZW) than some believe.

Maybe the newest .4 radio won't drop as often I'd test it out for a few days and see what it does

Maybe 2 weeks.

Maybe 2 weeks.

W/o a drop wow yeah that is long. Makes me think even more that maybe this can be attributed to VZW and the network. See how it does on the newest .4 radio. You said you've only had one drop on it so far?

I have been running the new radios and update for 5 days now and I will say for sure that from the data side, much improvement with receiving the signal stronger but I feel that the hand off from wifi to 3G and 4G is slower, maybe it's just me.

Now for the bad, I feel that the voice part of the equation is worse that the previous radios. I have had 2-3 calls going "muted" in the middle of the conversation, much more than the previous radio. I have had a couple of dropped calls more than the previous radio.

Radio seems better for me as far as loss of signal. I still get them everyday but the frequency is down to 3-4 losses.

Battery life has been very poor lately though. I had been getting 15 hours with 60-90 mins of screen time, primarily internet usage. It seems to die much more quickly now, as in 6-8 hours. Last night I put a new battery in at 2am, woke up a 7am and it was dead again. I checked the battery stats but don't they reset once a battery is replaced?

Anyway, not sure what the issue is, probably a combination of things (I run the app "Night Clock" while I sleep (but then again, I always have). That's the only thing bad I've noticed since installing these radios.
