Verizon is replacing my bionic worth a razr maxx....

I'm on my 3rd bionic and its the worst one yet, with the data drops, the random reboots, really spoty hot spot and other random things. So I went to the local Verizon store and talked to the rude lady behind the counter and after leaving pissed I tried calling 611 and all they wanted to do was send me another phone. I told them I was feed up with the same problems over and over again. Finally they offered me a Droid 4 to which I told them that was unacceptable and if i wanted a slide out keyboard I would have got one when I bought the bionic. So they offered me the razr and that was better but I would have to have the maxx cause I wouldn't be able to put a extend battery in it like I have in my bionic. They put me on hold and came back on and said ok they would do that. I got on the razr side and it looks like they have their own problem but hopefully its better then what I was was dealing with.

Good luck with it, however, you do realize the Bionic's ICS is about to go into soak test in a few days and the Razr's have no word yet on when their bug fix. Hopefully you haven't just extended your issues.

I just got the Razr Maxx and have not had any problems with it. I'm not sure what the bugs are since I haven't experienced any of them.

That link is quite useful, as it contains a link showing that, for Razr owners, there appears to be a (somewhat) easy solution: wipe the cache from recovery. Apparently, the issue is not that there are significant bugs, but that the update forgot to wipe the cache partition, so people upgrading from GB had issues. (I assume a factory data reset would have accomplished the same thing.)

How to Fix Droid RAZR and Droid RAZR MAXX Ice Cream Sandwich Issues

if they're offering to give you a RAZR Maxx from a Bionic i would jump on that faster than Lyndsey Lohan on bath salts.

Seriously think about it. The Bionic is at it's end of Life. When it gets ICS its a pretty safe bet its NOT going to get anything further than that.

The RAZR MAXX will get Jelly Bean.

Seriously keep the Maxx. Every phone has it's own quirks you will never find one that doesn't.

Where do you get your information that the Bionic will not get anything else? Did you know there is an upgrade path inside the Bionic's ICS? And what would be better economically for Google, paying $100 to every Bionic owner or taking the Razr JB (if it get's it) and porting it to the Bionic. Remember, except for the screens, the Bionic and the Razr/Razr MAXX are identical devices.
