[Verizon] JB Bootloader Question

kevin86

Newbie
I've not been able to keep up with the JB scene since the first couple of ports dropped and I'm ready to dive into the newest versions. I know there was a mention of the new JB bootloader and I'm just double checking everything as I haven't exactly found all of the info I wanted for sure. Is the new bootloader the PRIMELC03 and is the cwm flashable file around 2.3 mb? I keep finding links to jb bootloaders, but they don't mention what it is called or if the version is cwm flashable or not. Sorry guys, just haven't been keeping up and want to make sure I get it right. Thanks!

Heya kevin :)

You can get it here. Flash in your favorite recovery.

Is the new boot loader backwards compatible? (with ICS)
I would think so yes. I say this because I've seen so many people who have flashed the JB bootloader and have restored or gone back to an ICS ROM. I don't think it really matters I've never really understood exactly what the bootloader does. Just to be safe have both the latest ICS bootloader and the JB bootloader in flashable form on your sdcard. That way your covered. You can get the bootloaders on Pete's site I linked it in the Jellt Belly thread under "misc" :)
