[Verizon] Liquid Ice Cream Sandwich

Is this rom by Liquid or by JDK and Nocoast? I don't even think that Liquid has a GN yet so I'm wondering what you think of the rom. I'm going to hold off on this until I hear from you guys. I actually need something at this point that I can stay with for longer than 2 days. I'm seeing better battery the longer I stay on a single rom version and kernel.

Do you know if Imo has updated his 1.2 kernel to allow OC and UV?

I've got it flashed I think this a true liquid rom it seems like it;)

It isn't finished at this point liquid settings are not complete. I can't find a way to change the notification pull down widget. It is promising to say the least the messaging app is themed to match the ICS blue. The zip was smaller than axiom by about 20mb. OC settings built within liquid settings.

I am running nova on it without issues have tried any mods

Yeah, I'm going to reach out to him a little later. I just d/l Adryn's final Wookie rom and I'm in the middle of flashing it now. I've been using his kernel now for a few days with axiom and I really like it. I think he's one of those devs that really put in some time with the actual source code and then make their own rom from scratch. I'll see if there is a Wookie thread here and post my observations. Just booted, time for setup.

To think this phone only came out two weeks ago! There's already a ton of great ROMs, kernels, and mods. I'm so glad I opted for the Nexus :D

I'll be sure to try this one later, it looks very interesting. I'm rocking AOKP M1 right now and I'm happy for now though, but I'm sure I'll feel the itch to flash a new ROM any day now :p

keep in mind that because the phone is new as well as the newness of ICS the roms don't have much that separates them currently and very few are close to their final release state.

Sweet. I definitely used Liquid ROMs in the OG days. I also noticed winner00 is compiling some CM9 kangs. He did great work with the OG CM7 nightlies.

The developer support for this device is tremendous! I'll have this phone begging for mercy from flashing so many ROMs and mods. I really haven't found a need for different kernels, yet, though. 1.2 dual core is smoking fast, and my battery life has been pretty decent so far.

Who am I kidding? :D I'll be flashing kernels like crazy, too. LOL.

Yes, I took a look at some of the mods for softkeys last night and there is a lot of stuff that changes. You can change the icons relatively easily but as for adding or switching icons it doesn't look like an easy task and certainly looks rom specific.

I will take a look at it tonight it shouldn't be that hard to make a simple soft key mod to change color that won't break other features

Me thinks I'm in the wrong thread. I'm on Adryn's rom, Wookie final. There are no mods and therefore no mods to break. I was able to change the icons for the softkey so don't bother with it Yeahha but thanks for the offer. What I really want is a 4 softkey mod with either search or menu as the 4th key. But I'll head over to that thread or team bamf for some answers. Thanks again.

Yeah you are in the wrong thread ;) I want the blue softkey mod for this rom (Liquid ICS) and haven't played with making flashable zips recently so I think I will see what I can do.

I think a 4th key mod will require some XML editing at least, because the lack of mods on wookie it should be easier to get it working there than a rom that has other mods just because there is less to break.

Did you see that xda thread Worm posted? Give me a sec...got it, although not originally posted by Worm. [SOFTKEYS] Softkey Collection [GSM/LTE] [Update 02-01] - xda-developers

I did the mod last night on Wookie and it worked. It's only an image thing and doesn't do anything to the system and will therefore not change the position or quantity of softkeys. I did just ask Adryn for a 4 softkey mod for his 1.1 coming out today and he said he would make me one once he was finished. We'll see, but I did make the softkeys blue with the above link. It's kind of difficult to follow, but perhaps that was the beer talking last night. Let me know what you think of that when you get a chance to look.

I saw that link posted earlier but didn't bother clicking it before just now :D but yeah I plan on using my own method which be very close to the methods listed but would make a flashable zip file. I knew ADB would work but don't like connecting my phone to my CPU. I have had issues with replacing systemUI.apk in the past with root explorer so I would be weary of doing that.

Now that I think about it has anyone tried the adb wireless on the nexus yet?
