[Verizon] Liquid JB rom!

I really wasn't so sure about the colors the first time I tried Trinity, but they really grew on me. How long did you try them?

I actually cringe and rush to change the colors any time I flash back to a kernel that isn't faux or trinity now, because all the colors look all beige/yellow :p
I know its user dependent and yeah I can see why as trinity is set so cool blue. It's all my days calibrating TV's and monitors to be "color correct" and the photographer in me that wants 6500K and natural greys :p even though AMOLED is not a good tech for this kind of calibration.

The cool blue looks very slick IMO. Maybe the same reason why I have 8000k HID headlights on my car also :-P
You're one of those guys! :car: :D

Just an FYI, the SU binary in this rom has an update available.

I can't believe how slow the bootup is on these JB roms. Nearly 5 minutes on the google screen. Should I be flashing a new bootloader? I keep reading about a JB bootloader. Perhaps I should flash it? Will it speed the bootup time?

The JB Bootloader pretty much eliminated the 5 min + Google screen for me.

Yes, you definitely want to download the JB bootloader (normally you would use adb to install, but the version I linked is flashable in recovery)

Wooow wtf
No YouTube????

I have Youtube on mine, but maybe I got it from a TiBu backup. In any case, you can always download it from the Play store.

I'll start an official unofficial thread once the next release is out :p

I dont have YouTube nor will it let me download from the playstore.

Tested this out and really liked the performance. I'm still leaning towards AOKP, as I need my customization options (such as the nav bar tweaks).

YES! I'm so happy they made a JB ROM. It takes 5mins for this to boot up thou?

The last update Youtube that was pushed out made my phone force close it every time I try to open the app. :(

Anyone have any luck with any wifi tethers to work on this rom? Would have hoped itd be bundled in like the rest of them.

Native tethering is supposed to work fine. It's under Settings->"More..."->Tethering & Portable Hotspot

It doesn't get reported to Verizon, either, from what I've heard.

@Hardstyle: Are you using the Jellybean bootloader? That fixed long boot times for others. Regarding the Youtube app, try flashing the latest Gapps.

The second time you boot up and every time after that is fine :-)

@TheRoosevelt when i flashed the ROM it had the JB bootloader already. The X with the colors right? lol
And Youtube is working fine for me.

I just came to this after almost every instance of Jelly Belly. I don't know how they did it, but Liquid is outstanding. The animations are sharp, crisp and snappy.

The talk a couple of days ago was all about XenonHD and now I'm seeing a lot of chatter about this Rom. Can anyone give some quick differences, whether subtle or not. Thanks!

The "X" is the boot animation, except most custom roms replace it with their own. :D

The boot loader does it's thing waaaay before that.

Oohh. Lmao. Well how do you flash a different bootloader? Is it the same process of a ROM?

Make sure you have everything backed up first...

Download bootloader (the one in the link above).
Power down phone, boot into recovery, install from zip, reboot. :)

Sorry, I guess that was a bit longwinded to say yes, pretty much just like flashing a rom. I did not do a factory reset or clear out the caches.

Since the market says my device is incompatible with youtube (wtf?!) i went ahead and grabbed a sexy inverted youtube from trav and voila, like magic i now have youtube.
