[Verizon] Looking for from suggestions

Hey everyone, I'm kinda new to this, coming from an iPhone and all, but I'm looking for some suggestions. I was able unlock and root my vzw gnex and I've messed around with aokp and liquid smooth rooms so far. All this flashing makes me remember why I loved android in the first place, haha.

The more I mess around with it, though, the more I remember the downside - mainly that this is supposed to be my phone and I need to be able to use it as one. I was on aokp for a whole day before I realized that phone calls made the screen go black from the proximity sensor and stay black till the call ended no matter what I did...

This brings me to the point of the post, what is everyone's suggestion for rooms?? I love the options and features of aokp, but I would place a high priority on stability and battery life. I'm open to flashing a new kernel/radios too if that helps and I can find a guide for it. So what do you folks recommend?

I recommend Jelly Bean. In rootzwiki, there is a rom called 'JellyBelly 3.4' it is very stable and so far the battery life has been great for me. Also, the devs on that rom are active in updates for it, shall anything go wrong. However there is no bugs that I am aware of.

[ROM] Jelly Belly v3.4 - 07/12/2012 - [JellyBean] [4.1.1] [Pure AOSP] - It's all about speed! - [VZW] Galaxy Nexus Development - RootzWiki

Thanks for the quick reply

I may be looking at this wrong, but isn't that jb from and all others for verizon just a port of the GSM nandroid released? I wasn't sure how stable that was. How long have you been using it? Anything that doesn't work that you've notived ? And how is reception?

Also is that the same one on the front page of general in the xda developers forums? I was reading about it there I believe
Edit - it was this forum I was I reading about jelly belly

When Jelly Belly first released, yes it was a GSM port. But ever since source got released (last week?) it has been built from source so a lot of the bugs had been ironed out. I personally use Bugless Beast for my Jelly Bean fix but I've heard nothing but good things on Belly 3.4. I'm considering switching over to that if my battery life doesn't improve

awesome, I'm making the kiddo lunch atm, then i'll be making a full backup with nandroid, backing up the sd card partition, running TiBu, and getting to business, haha. anyone have any suggestions about the JB bootloader part of the instructions? It says its unknown if its backwards complatible with ICS and I wasnt sure what this meant as far as reverting if jelly belly doesnt work out

thanks again
