[Verizon] Maps Randomly Opening

Ok so I noticed this issue a few times back on my first Nexus but I've noticed it's happened much more on the second one. For whatever reason, "Maps" will randomly show up in my Recent Apps and I'm not sure why. It happened on Stock unrooted but I'm now running AOKP B21 with Franco's Kernal and it happens all the time. It doesn't seem to be using battery but it's a bit of a nuisance to have it randomly open. I know I remember seeing this a while back but don't remember seeing any fixes for it. Any help?

i have seen this as well running various Roms. I never really searched for an answer too hard.


If you don't mind i'm moving this thread to VZW Galaxy Nexus All Things Root.
Reason: Specific to VZW Galaxy Nexus and you are running a custom Rom. Someone there maybe able to give you some more info on your issue.

i dont know why it pops up, but to get rid of it showing up just open the Maps application then leave the app. and it wont show up any more

I noticed that every time Maps is updated, if I just open the app after said update, it won't open on its own.
