[Verizon] Media and Downloads folder not detected

The folders are present on the phone when i use root explorer to see whats on my SD card but the problems occurs when i go into the gallery and my downloads folder is no longer present. Same goes for the media folder where i have custom ringtones. They were working perfectly before i flashed a new rom, even when i flash back to the previous rom they are still not detected.

The NOMEDIA folder was in the root of the SD card but not located in any of the folders. For instance it wasnt located in the Downloads folder nor the media folder. Also after deleting the folder the downloads folder still doesn't appear and my custom ringtones in the media folder aren't showing up on the phone's sound setting
 
I have the same problem, but there is no .nomedia file in the root of my sdcard. :-( I am not using Quickpic to manage my media.
 
I don't have a .nomedia file in root. The closer to root is in the data folder. I guess I'll try on the PC.
 
It does,but you HAVE TO update ROM manager to the latest edition. I removed the nomedia file and cleared the data in media storage (and Gallery) and STILL didn't see anything UNTIL i re-installed the latest version of ROM manager. Now everything's (wait a minute and I'll check now - yep, still there) hunky-dory.
