Sounds like that to me too! It is critical to double check your MD5s sums to make sure you get the whole file. I use ASTRO file or ES File for that. You can find them in the market. If you need more help, let us know.
 
cool mod!

my one complaint is that it scaled down my swype box when it moved it down on the screen and I can't figure out how to scale it larger

I haven't frequented the OP @ XDA in a while, but from what I read a week back you have to use a certain version of swype with this mod for it to scale correctly....the hacked swype version iirc.

I like https://market.android.com/details?id=sa.afv&hl=en it will copy the MD5 to the clipboard for you so you can compare easier. Plus we have all see the dev running around here wearing red...but he is not that scary
 
Are you sure i'm supposed to download toro 23 gsm zip? BTW is that the only think install? I've been working on this for an hour now and am getting really frustrated. I made a backup and all the other stuff. Which thing do i install, mirror 1, 2, or the first one? I feel so stupid right now. I always go into go into a continuous boot loop after installing the toro gsm zip. I can get out using my backup though. Sorry for being such a hassle, I just want to learn how to do this by myself.
 
I can't seem to figure out how to install the LMT launcher onto my phone. When i download the .APK file from the XDA download link to desktop, it shows up as a .ZIP. If i place it on my sdcard Astro just wants to open it, not install it.

Any help would be great

Jeff,

the best thing to do is to long press on the file and select rename. Change the file extension from zip to apk. Once it is apk you can install the file using any of the file programs astro, ES or Root Explorer.
 
Wanted to say thanks to everyone that was trying to help me. I rooted my phone again and finally got the full screen to work. I love it.
 
I am running AOKP build 27 prior to install of LMT. In LMT I have autostart set to 1 (run at startup), mode = 2 (pie only), and input set for device 1 (Nexus). I rebooted the phone, but I still see the navigation bar at the bottom and I'm not getting the pie popup no matter which edge of phone I try to bring it up on. What am I doing wrong?

UPDATE: On a 2nd reboot, I had the pie briefly, but then after opening LMT again trying to figure out why the nav bar wasn't going away, the pie went away too. Grr...

I'll bump this from the dead. I had heard about the full screen mod, but didn't want to mess with it too early on. I wanted to wait until it was perfected more. I just installed it using halfcab123's one step windows install. Works quickly and flawlessly. I also installed the button savior and have it set to open on tap.

I like it, although it has only been one day... guess we'll see if I get used to having no navbar.

Of course, the best part... full screen angry birds!

heard back from the OP:

he said that button savior has been updated so it may be possible

he is not home now, so it may be a while before he can get to it


having full screen would be the cherry on top for me!
 
the developer has tweeted me a link to download the mod in the event that we can get the button savior developer to update for jellybean compatibility

I have emailed them, but the more the merrier

the button savior dev asked me to run BS on my phone and send him the adb log, since he doesn't have a nexus

how do i retrieve the log?

edit: i think i figured it out

used terminal emulator, copied logcat to sdcard, uploaded file to fileshare service, and tweeted to dev

hope i did that correctly

the two options right now are for 3.4 jelly belly

FIRST: download and install LMT controls v1.4 from the opening post in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1330150 (button savior is not updated) you will want to set that up and set it to start on boot in the settings

SECOND: make a BACKUP of your current settings, or have a backup available to you just in case!

option 1: 1% circle battery and no soft keys jellybelly-3.4-NoSoftKeys.zip

option 2: 1% circle batter, power controls, and no soft keys jellybelly-3.4-NoSoftKeys-Power.zip

download and flash zip

This is great thanks you sir and the devs who created. jmar will be happy about this if he can get JB running right! Hope I'll have time to flash this weekend
