Sorry. Im still a noob and have some more questions. :)

1) I currently have the Seidio Active case for my nexus. Will it work with the extended battery from vzw? Does the otterbox defender work with the VZW extended batt? How about the seidio covert? I had a droid x and i used and ext batt with a standard case and i had issues with pressure points in my screen :(

2) Im currently running liquid rom. Can i get version 4.0.4 cause im currently on 4.0.3? If so how do i do this? And does it help with signal?

3) if i want to flash a new rom, do i just wipe everything and flash the new one?

4) when i flash a new rom do i need to reset batt stats?

Thanks!

I don't know; I haven't used any of those cases. However, there's very little space difference between the standard and extended, so many cases are fine. Hopefully someone else will come along with a better answer there.

If Liquid is based on 4.0.3, then you have to wait for the dev to update it and base it on 4.0.4. You can run stock 4.0.4 instead, but it won't still have whatever tweaks Liquid has, it will just be stock. As for how, start here. I hear it helps with signal, but again, haven't used it myself.

3) if i want to flash a new rom, do i just wipe everything and flash the new one?

Most ROM threads will have instructions. Generally, you want to make a backup in CWM, then wipe data, then install ROM (and G Apps if the ROM requires flashing them separately).

4) when i flash a new rom do i need to reset batt stats?

Thanks!

My understanding is that you never need to reset your battery stats, that they reset themselves each time you fully charge, and that the idea of wiping them comes from either a misunderstanding or a change in what they do.

Can't speak on cases or your particular ROM... as for new ROMS flashing and wiping, it depends on the ROM. The dev will usually note whether they recommend a full wipe. Are you just updating versions of the same ROM? If so, a lot of times the dev will say no wipe needed. If you are switching ROMS, yes, you want to do a full wipe before flashing. Regardless of what you do, ALWAYS....ALWAYS do a backup beforehand.

With regards to 4.0.4 improving the signal, you don't need to wait for the ROM to get the new radios. You can get the updated radio files from 4.0.4 and install them now. I'm running them on stock 4.0.2 and I believe the signal is improved significantly.

Battery stats....last I read google said 'resetting battery stats' was unnecessary as its function was misunderstood. People believed that the phone stored a history of battery data and by resetting it the phone would learn and report more accurately. I believe what google is saying now is that the battery stats reset with every charge and that its only the most recent charge/use cycle that is stored. So, no, you don't need to reset them.
