Does anyone think this will actually work? Im thinking of using this app Market Helper – spoof your Android device to download incompatible apps from the Android Market to install the moto x features such as moto assist on the gnex, anyone see any problems?

Agreed. The Gnex may not have the hardware needed for that app. Also, I have tried pulling .apk's from Moto phones that are running the Moto Blur android skin (don't know if this is the case with the X) and they won't work.

Sorry for the belated (and slightly necro) reply, but yeah, this probably won't work, mostly because I'm pretty sure you'd need the underlying MotoBlur framework that would allow those features to work on your device.

I can't imagine any actual damage being done other than a nasty bootloop that would probably require restoring a factory image, etc.
