[Verizon] NANdroid backup

Well-Known Member
I have backed up every app and data using Titanium Backup. Is that the same as NANdroid backup?

Want to make sure as I get deeper into flashing I understand the backup processes I should be doing regularly.

Not at all, Titanium backs up apps and their data, and if you want your user settings. This is for after you flash a new rom so you dont have to go back into the play store and re-install all your apps and lose you saved data. Nandroid is a backup of your entire phone, rom and all. This is for when you mess up flashing your rom or you dont like the rom and want to return back to where you were when you Nandroid-es

TritonDroid, as has been hinted at in this thread, a nandroid backup and one created with TiBu are two totally different things. A TiBu backup only contains your apps and user data and is performed while the phone is booted into the regular Android OS. A nandroid backup is a total 'snapshot' of your phone's OS and state created while the phone is booted into a custom recovery; think restore point on steriods.

hope I've been of help and good luck
