Hi All,

Will be getting my S3 today or tomorrow....16GB Black from Verizon...would like the 32GB, but my understanding is that 32GB model is not available form VZ in black.

Are there any other spec differences between the 16GB and 32GB models?

My previous phone was a Droid X (I)....every 2 years I get a new phone from my work and my date is HERE!! Can someone point me into the right direction to learn the ICS/JB OS'es?? From my understanding JB is not available at the moment unless one roots...correct?

Thanks for letting me join here!!

The only difference between the 16GB and the 32GB is that the 32GB has 16GB more of storage.

Other than that no differences....also remember that 16GB is actually around 12GB after everything is installed, and 32GB is actually around 28GB :)

In addition to the built in memory you can add a SD Card as large 64 GB. Do you really need more than 76 GB of memory?

I have had a 16GB brown for about 2 weeks and I'm very disappointed.
I also previously also had a Droid X
1) There is a software issue with S Beam on my phone
2) Smart Stay does not work
3) WiFi does not connect @ work (the signal there is weak, but, I also have an ASUS Infinity tablet and it connects fine) Also, several other people at work have GS III's and do not have any WiFi issues at work. It does connect fine at home where I have a very strong signal.
4) I now have to leave my cubicle to place/receive phone calls. Bad reception. Never have had this issue previously with the Droid X.

Motorola has the best radios in the business...

The S Beam issue is not only on my phone, but 3 other people who have purchased GS III's in the last 60 days.
None of us have an S Beam Application folder on our phones. If we beam as an example, a photo, it will transfer to our phones, but we cannot delete it, nor is it actually on our phone. (we believe it may be "in the cloud"). I have been in contact with Samsung Technical in Texas (via Verizon). They were stumped and have referred it to Samsung - Korea, who supposedly will call me next week.

Smart Stay, no it doesn't. I have it turned on, and I can see the "eye" appear after some time, but even if I'm holding the phone within 6" of my face, it still will go black.

Both the WiFi and call issues are the last straw for me and I am going to return it.
If I don't have ANY issues with the replacement, I'll keep it, If not I'll return that one and buy a Razor MAXX.
I hope the replacement is O.K. One of the features I really wanted was Smart Stay. I also like the size and feel of this phone.

I think you guys just ran into a bad batch of phones. My wife and I purchased GSIIIs in the last 60 days and SBeam, Smart Stay and WiFi all work fine.

Are you using a case? If so, what kind?
