Root [Verizon] Newer Android Versions

This may sound newbish, but I have my phone rooted, and I have factory reset, wiped caches, etc. and installed several different ROMs that were suppose to be 4.2.2, but I always end up with 4.1.1. What's going on? I just got finished installing the latest MeanBean ROM, and again...4.1.1. I'm looking to be able to try out a couple apps that are only for the latest Android, but can't seem to get there. What's going on?

Well, looking over it again, maybe I was wrong. Maybe it's not 4.2.2 (sorry about that). I must have assumed it was since it was picked as ROM of the week just last week. Okay, then... :D So, what do you all recommend for a 4.2.2 ROM for Verizon Galaxy Note 2?

Thanks much for the feedback all. I am very slowly downloading Carbon now. Will try it first, and then maybe check out the other one.

It is amazing to me the difference in file sizes among these ROMs. The ones I had been trying were right at 1 GB. These are much smaller. All over the place. :)

That's because most 4.2.2 roms are made differently.
