Verizon Note 2 "missing apps/widgets" list...

I don't have this version, but after reading a few other posts, I figured I'd start a consolidated list so Verizon owners don't lose their minds looking for what one would seem are basic apps/features. Feel free to post a desired.

- clock widget
- full screen calendar widget (4x4)
- email widget
- "do not disturb" feature

I have the T-Mo version...however the person posting about it said the Vz version "did not" have a "full screen, month view calendar widget", like this:

That would be very useful. I know my current phone has settings like that for email, so I have it set to not check for email between 9pm and 7am. Would be great to have this for alarms also, since I have a ton of all day events on my calendar and the alarm for these seems to be set to go off at midnight.

Hopefully there is a third party solution to get this functionality back?

Blocking mode is on my Sprint Note II, although I honestly don't know if I'll end up using it at all. Still its good to know its there.

is it me or is Verizon really trying to piss of its customers?

I turn blocking mode on at night when i go to sleep so it can silent all notifications until I turn it off in the morning. I don't want to hear sounds, vibrations or anything while i sleep so this mode is useful for me.

I tried it out just to see what it does.
Not something I need since I don't hear anything in my sleep anyway.
During my self imposed "trial" period I was too worried I was missing something.....FB & Twiiter LOL!!!!

Boy, after watching the video linked above im super happy I chose Tmo as my carrier. Yet one more reason to avoid Verizon.

I'm upset that they removed blocking mode. Even more upset at how much time I wasted trying to find the setting for the feature that doesn't exist on here even though I saw the feature demonstrated in videos. Also miss the 4x4 SCalendar and the digital clock . I am still very happy with the N2 in spite of the missing apps, but seriously Verizon, what were you thinking! !!???!

No wonder I haven't been able to find it! I've been looking for it for 2 days now! That's irritating as hell. That's one feature I really wanted since I work midnight shift and sleep during the day. I could've let my daughters "ring" through. Any other app's that offer this?

I use Audio Control. It's not free but it's worth paying for. There's a lite version. I don't remember how much it costs. It works great and has tons of widgets, profiles, schedule, etc. I have a night profile that only allows calls and alarm starting at 10pm, then a normal profile that allows everything starting at 6am with volumes at mid level. Then I created 2 more profiles, one for complete silence and one for totally loud. I have a profile widget with all 4 profiles so I can switch to silent when I need it or loud when I'm driving. There's also a widget that shows all the volume levels in a 1x1 graph.uploadfromtaptalk1354362480265.jpg

Is it possible for Tasker to allow calls through from specific contacts? I don't really want to buy it if it can't. Otherwise I might miss an emergency call from a family member.

Yes it does but there is a huge learning curve with Tasker. If you just want something to allow specific contacts to ring through at night, one program that will do that is Audio Control. I'm sure there are others in the Play Store. Now if you want to take the time to learn Tasker, you can totally automate your phone with it. But the learning curve is HUGE and it isn't for someone just wanting an an easy setup app that will accomplish one thing quickly.
