[Verizon] Nova Launcher Pro + LiquidSmooth

I'm running Nova launcher (whatever is latest) with LiquidSmooth 1.4.

The launcher is constantly getting corrupted screens ... the text is all botched up, not really sure how to describe it, but I think people who have used it have discussed this before.

It used to happen occasionally, but now it's happening more and more frequently. Then it'll redraw and be ok again. It's getting bad enough that I'm thinking of switching to Apex, but since I spent the money for the pro I figured I'd ask if anyone knew of any fixes first.

Sorry if the description is not the best.

Maybe something just got corrupted along the way? Maybe you restored a nova backup from a different version? I'd try uninstalling all things Nova (except for your backup on the /sdcard) and re-installing it. Then set it up from scratch (aka don't restore). Then make a nova backup

I was having some issues with Nova before, mostly that it wouldn't load when I rebooted. Solved the problems by turning off superuser notifications, of all things. The constant superuser notifications about an app that was granted root access seemed to interfere with Nova loading. Doesn't sound like the problem you are experiencing, but give it a try.

I'm running Nova (not Pro) on top of 1.4 and I have no issues. Have you tried wiping data/cache from Nova? Do you have installed as a /system app or as a "regular" launcher?

I was having page load issues on 1.1.3. There was an update late this week to 1.1.4 that fixed those issues. All seems to be running well now.

I would say also make sure you are on the latest version.

I am on the latest, but you're right that I've been restoring for the last few backups. I'll try the superuser thing first because it's lazier. But then I'll try a launcher reinstall. At least it's good news that some others aren't having an issue.

Blocking SU notifications made no difference. Uninstall + Reinstall + Rebuild seems to have done the trick for the last 3 days. That's compared to multiple corruptions/crashes an hour, so I'm going to call it a success... an annoying one, but is the price of tinkering.

The only way to learn, glad it's working!
