verizon now splits up multiple text messages

So I think that the OP was sending to another vzw. They might have changed the message for that. My friend is on AT&T with the Iphone (Shame) and i text her today and got the normal over 160 is sent as plain text with no graphics and only the first 160 is sent. So lame IMHO!
 
Well that is typical that I get the shaft from Verizon on everything including OTA! I am still a huge fan but am getting a little annoying at certain things.
 
No i mean the one in december lol. Believe me I am not trying to stir that pot! The last one I waited over a week after until like the 20th to just take the plunge and download the file for 2.0.1! Apparently though since i am in a half roaming area I will never get any changes like normal. Verizon said to wait another 4 months even though it has already been 6!

If im texting a friend back and forth they don't mind the length, they just want to hear what I'm saying haha

I'm glad they are splitting up messages instead of just cutting them off. For those consistantly over 160, call or email me instead of making me pay for a higher txt message plan.

LOL @ Droid Rage. I was thinking the same thing. In fact, I believe I have gotten into it before with JoeMessenger on matters of trivial subjective drivel. Help spread the knowledge or don't spread anything at all friend.
 
I noticed this too and was elated. I tried blocking the number by going to My Verizon and entering the number to my block list. The bastard number's like..13 numbers long, or something like that. I'll live with it. I like the standard better than handcent and chomp and whatnot.

Because they get to charge for more than one text if it goes over 160 characters, HELLO?! :confused: Of course Verizon like loooooooooong texts. If I were collecting the cash for messaging, I'd make the limit 100 characters! :D
