Will this require a signature? Because I work 8-4 on both Thursday & Friday and not sure I'll be home when it's delivered. Or is there something I can put on the door instructing the courier to leave the package at the door?

Signature is required.

Yes, as mentioned a signature is required. Alternatively, you can often have the item held at the nearest shipper location for pickup (with proper ID) as described here.

I'm in the exact same situation as you (original card stolen and new card issued.)

My situation may be different since I'm on a friend's Verizon employee account, but what she told me is that the entire order will be cancelled and will have to be re-ordered. Which means I lose my unlimited data and have to go on the share everything plan. This suuuuuuuuuuuuuucks!

That's what I was told. I then called back, talked to someone else, and he talked to his super, and said the order is "closed" until it is shipped. Then the order is reopened, charged, and shipped. If the payment fails, then the order is still open, and can be modified with the correct card. Call back, and check that. When was your order scheduled to ship? 7/9-10-11?

Wouldn't it not really matter that your actual cards were no longer good since Verizon got an authorization for the charge when you originally placed your orders. Doesn't that give them a foot in the door to your CC account to complete the charges on the date of shipment regardless of you having to be issued a new card # for the account.

It's shipped FedEx ISR (Indirect signature required). You can leave a SIGNED & DATED note (AWB # wouldn't hurt either) where the driver can see it and take it with them (not locked inside storm door, etc). Or leave a note to deliver to neighbor, apartment office, etc). If you ask to forward to work, it will require additional day, or more. You can also call FedEx with tracking number and request Hold at Location and pick it up at their station or any FedEx Office (Kinkos) location (take your DL with you). Kinkos is additional day (next morning by 9am).

Not according to the CC company. They pre-authed it, but did not charge it. The pre-auth was released, so it's not like it was "pending" or anything.

Still hoping to be able to change the card number, or I'll have to look into another carrier. If I'm going to worry about data usage, I might as well save some money doing it...

I'm hoping that they're claiming the order will get cancelled just to try to get you to let them cancel the order, and replace it with their own ID, to get comissions/stats for the sale...

Please remember that even if yours (or mine ) hasn't shipped yet, we were going to be happy if they started shipping ANYTIME by 7/9. So let's show some love to those who will have them before the weekend, knowing that ours will ship soon too.

Its weird, did everyone who is getting theirs on 7/5 pay for overnight. It almost seems location based. From what I have noticed everything coming from Memphis TN is showing a 7/5 delivery date, and everything coming from West Chester PA is showing a 7/6 delivery date and 2 day shipping. I wonder why?

From what I have noticed everything coming from Memphis TN is showing a 7/5 delivery date, and everything coming from West Chester PA is showing a 7/6 delivery date and 2 day shipping. I wonder why?

I logged into my account and it says my contract expires 7/3/14. When I click on "Change minutes, text or data" it has all of my correct stuff including unlimited data!

What about under Activate or Switch device under My Verizon. Has the SIII shown up there?

Yeah, it had me puzzled as to why the 6th when West Chester, PA is only 2-3 hours from us. Hell, I live 2 miles from the PA line and the packages are dispatched from Newburgh, NY. Maybe our packages are on the way to Memphis for arrival on 7/5 and they will ship them back here to NY by 7/6.

Mine is coming in from west Chester too and it also says 7/6. I live in Philly so it might muttered come sooner then that.
