Just popped in. Good to see I'm not missing anything important while I'm at work. Back to work I guess. BTW, Unicorn are magical! That's how they do the things they can do. So there!

I think a smurf is going to deliver mine on the back of the bumble bee transformer. I think for sure a smurf on account of the blue phone color !

Hopefully he stops by tinker bell and gets some magic fairy dust ... but that would just be a bonus !

Just saying

Does anyone here really pay much less that $210 - $260 for a family of 4?

We pay less than $190 per month for 4 smart phones I don't remember exactly how much though. 1400 minutes, unlimited text and unlimited data. We also get a small corporate discount from my wife's job and we lucked out and got in on that $20 per line per month data discount. Unlimited data for 4 phones for a total of $40 per month (data charges only). Can't beat that with any of the shared data plans. That being said, we use Wifi so much that we don't even use 2 gigs of data per month. Not even close, actually. But my motto has been it's better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it. As soon as 4G makes it's way to my area I'm sure our data usage will go up. From what I've heard it's faster than my cable modem on my desktop. We'll see...

Surprised there not even a leaked few out on eBay for sale yet. It just popped in my head that most likely they will start showing up the closer we get, Since I paying full price anyway I would just cancel my preorder If the right deal and seller make it available.

Actually, you just proved my point When I asked "Does anyone here really pay much less that $210 - $260 for a family of 4"

I feel the most people will just about break even with the new plan.
Your bill is only $20 less than my lower stated amount of $190, and that's after your "small corporate discount from my wife's job and we lucked out and got in on that $20 per line per month data discount"

I can understand waiting for something new that we know of rumors coming out. But am I missing something? Is there anything even close to this phone on the near horizon. Isn't the S3 *it* for the known future?

Razr HD and iPhone 6th gen are the only ones that come to mind..

Delivered by Stork? Smurf? Pegasua? Wow, you guys sure are making the most out of the "speculation" part of the title of this thread.

Good news, Treb, is that in 4-1/2 hours the unlimited data argument will be a non-issue. As of June 28th you LOSE it unless (a) you keep the same phone forever; or (b) buy all future phones at full retail.

And I, for one, look forward to midnight so we can discuss other things... like in what year we can expect Verizon to push Jelly Bean out to the SGS3

AT&T version battery number looks too short. At least the numbers on verizon one looks good.

I guess they put talk time for verizon one and browsing or video time for AT&T one.

The swelling on mine is getting worse. Now when it's 100% it creates a spot when I touch the screen. This stops when the battery gets to less than 70%. I've got a couple of aftermarket cheapos, but they don't send the battery info to the phone. I guess I'm gonna have to switch to those for the next two weeks. Argh!
How does the brightness of the DX screen compare to the S3? I was in T mobile and found the S3 to be VERY dim compared to the DX. I'm having second thoughts on the S3, but will still keep my pre-order for 13 days.

Chief...I know its not midnight yet, but what is your time frame on when Big Red will fill our bellys w/ jellys. I say 2 to 3 months & you?

Might be a stupid question but, did you adjust the screen brightness on both to 100%?

Treb, if the SGS3 gets JB before Halloween I'll be shocked, stunned and amazed. You know this thing will come bloated out of the box... and you know that VZW will need to soak test JB on every piece of bloat. So unless that sucker is rooted very shortly after Jelly Bean comes out on ROM, I don't hold out high hope for any Jelly love. I certainly don't think it will be a fast Verizon OTA, having experienced the 4.0.4 fiasco with the Nexus.

I'm actually looking forward to visiting here tomorrow morning, Let the whining begin! :smokingsomb:

On another note.... Is anyone planning on rooting ? I have never done it ... I am curious. After a ton of homework regarding the subject. I'm thinking yes?

Kymberlin, if no one's welcomed you to the forums, yet: welcome to the forums! :)

I waited 6 months to root my Nexus, which IMHO was about 2-3 months too long. Anything that's going to break & require warranty work is going to do so in a short period of time. After that, I'd say root that puppy.

You can always un-root it if it needs work.
