Verizon reporting 4G issues

hmmm.... Tx did your phone suddenly pick-up a hardware virus from a gnex or something? :p

(no problems here:))

Verizon did indicate there was a 4G outage in the Midwest, my 4G is restored now. Fortunately, I haven't been around a Nexus so no chance of picking up 4G-itis....

I say we cut VZW a little slack as a thanks for being the 1st wireless provider of nationwide 4GLTE network. They're pioneering the way. There's bound to be a few hiccups.

Metro was the first 4g service. Not meaning to be a ass then t mobile then Verizon

They mean Verizon was the first 4G LTE network, not 4G in general. Sprint had Wimax for a years, but it isn't nearly as fast. Other networks built 4G first, but Verizon had the fastest first. I've seen up to 57 mbps download on my Rezound, friggin fast!

Holy balls Batman that's almost t1

I woke up to see 1X this morning but data was still working fine (can still play Words with Friends and get to my emails while on 1x). After a few minutes it went back to 4G LTE. I hope it stays on LTE as there are a few office guys that will be using my hotspot today on a road trip. :|

Hotspot? I sure hope you're referring to the Verizon Hotspot on your phone....

Just in case anyone is experiencing 4G issues, I just got off the phone with Verizon and they told me that there is a nationwide outage. Their ETA is 12/22. I hope this has nothing to do with the Nexus issues... To be continued....

Oh and per Verizon, they advised me to stay on 3G until they resolve their network issues.

And one more thing, I would've posted in the Carrier section, but figured people in here might have questions about their 4G not working....Too bad we don't have a 4G section on top of each phone section that fans out to all 4G phones on Verizon.....

How about we just stay on 3G and say the hell with 4G?!

My hotspot still hurts today!!! I need a picture of a nice doctor!!! 1/2 :)

Some rural areas along the way did not have 4G or 3G but only 1x. I just had to put on the satellite view/layer on the google navi and it worked fine on 1x too. Then at some remote places there were no phone signal but the navi still worked in the plain/legacy mode (already prefetched the maps and the satellites are still reachable out there... just no verizon signal). bye

My data connection is bouncing all over today. Granted we had some "lovely" weather come through the area...

Interesting, checked my phone about 10 minutes ago and was surprised to see it on 3G. My phone never goes to 3G at home. I toggled it from 3G to 4G and is now back on 4G...go figure

4G was up when I got home yesterday. I guess enough calls came in later to get them to investigate their network.....
