[Verizon] [ROM][4.1.1][AOSP] Liquid Smooth - Jelly Bean 2.0 [Beta 2] (8/13/12)

I see only good things about this ROM, I should have my nexus by Sat and this will be my first flash. Sorry for spamming, I don't want to lose the thread!!!

I have been using liquid since my OG droid and I have never found a rom that is more stable or better suite my needs, I tried AOKP when i first got my nexus because liquid wasn't out yet but as soon as it was i tried liquid again and never went back....I have donated to liquid and probably will never use any other rom as long as its available for my device.

No big whoop, but is Verizon Mobile working on this ROM? I keep getting a "A free VZW connection is unavailable" error. Any thoughts?

EDIT: Figured it out. Installed an old version and it updated itself through Play Store.

Working fine for me. Try clearing cache or re-installing?

anyone else having trouble changing color of the nav bar buttons? and the brightness? seems to be my issue, and it has a blue haze to the screen thats really annoying when you have sunglasses on trying to read in the sunlight

NavBar color isn't functional yet. And the blue haze is because of the built in Trinity kernel's custom colors. I kind of like it, but to each their own

well that answered my question, and i wonder why they included it, especially if it doesnt work.. lol

but thank you for the info viper, now i will just either go to aokp, or bamf, not sure which one yet

I used trickster mod to reduce the blue tint and upped the contrast to make the screen a tad bit brighter. But yes the softkey back light adjustment is nit working yet, as it does on aokp.

Be on the lookout for beta 2 liquid

That was the main reason I left the Liquid beta. I didn't like the number of features that weren't functional on it lol. I'll probably be back once it's stable releases come out, but for now I think Xenon has been my best. This is my first day on Codename and the battery life has been horrible...

I switched to Lean Kernel and the blue haze is gone. The only issue I am having is the weather wont show up on the lockscreen. It will only work for me if I have it set to slide. I like having it on pattern so I can have some security. Anybody else run into this issue?

I don't think that's possible. If I recall, the Pattern lock takes up the entire screen, and the weather just doesn't fit. Could be wrong though, it may be something they add in the later releases.

That could be Thanks. I had it working on codename android with a pattern but it could be that's the case with this ROM.

Having problems trying to flash this rom. I had on Vicious before trying. I wiped data, cache and devlic (sp?) also did a superwipe. Every time I try to flash the rom it aborts after about 5 seconds. I have tried about 5 times and all the same.

I have a Verizon 32gb Nexus.

Did you wipe system? That will erase the current rom. Make the sure the rom dl came as a zip and not an htm.

Twrp is better than cwm if you ask me

Thanks for the quick reply. Not sure what you mean by wiping system. I wipe data/reset, wipe cache, wipe davlic. Is that wiping the system?

The only issue I have with this ROM is that my Gallery is not showing my Picasa or Google+ Albums.
I have Google Photos and Google+ Checked off to be synced in my Account Settings..
Any one have any idea what I can do?

I loved liquid on ICS. I hope when the stable version for jelly bean comes out they include the full scream mod again. I loved this and really miss it.

Ditto :'(

Beta 2 is up on Rootz!

Interesting to see that the Trinity kernel is now no longer baked in, but instead LeanKernel is being used now according to the post.
