[Verizon] [ROM] ParanoidAndroid [Tablet/Hybrid]

Been running as my daily for a bit. Takes some getting used to, but really nice. Gives the phone a new feel.

Been running liquids rom for a while and love it. It is stable and has good battery life. This one has me intrigued and I am just hoping it is customizable.

There is a Verizon version which is what I am running. I keep switching back and forth every few days between this and liquid. Both are very good and stable.

I tried it out and its really cool. I am too attached to liquid right now though so I went back. I really liked it though.

yeah, i ended up back on liquid as well. this rom is very cool and i like the idea and the fact that it completely changes my phone, i am just not comfortable enough to change the dpi on the apps to make them look right. hopefully updates in the future will do this automatically.

I went back to liquid because I use full screen with lmt launcher and it allows me to use the huge screen with one had a little easier than this one. I liked the notifications at the bottom though. Really a nice idea.

Sorry that I posted the wrong version of the ROM. I had actually downloaded the Sprint version and had several failed attempts at flashing before realizing my error. Haha.

The updates are finished and the per app DPI has been completely figured out by the dev team.

This is IMHO the best ROM available IF and I mean IF you want to experiment with a true tablet feel on the phone.

Battery is marvelous and signal has been spot on since first installing the beta at .04 and its now at .09

I highly recommend give this a look at.

Cheers

This is not even listed on the main ROM list. I'm definitively going to give it a try since people seem to swear by it.

Installing 0.9 now. Looking forward to a change of pace for a bit. Though, I did love the speed of Liquid 1.4.
Also, don't know if it's a given, but the RW install directions didn't say anything about a full wipe. I did it anyway.

I'm confused, is this supposed to use Nova Launcher, I had it installed on AOKP and now it's the default home and I can't uninstall. Sorry I can't post on the XDA forums so I was hoping someone would help me here.

Nova is used as the default/system launcher for Paranoid (like in some other ROMs). You can uninstall it, but as a system app, it's a bit tricky (something I'd leave up to the big pros). You can slap another launcher over it, but as far as I know, you cannot load up the stock ICS launcher.

Oh ok, I'm good then. LOL It's just my original Nova settings looked way too big. I did a full reset and I'm re installing Nova settings clean. :-)

What do you mean "looked too big"? One thing I love about Nova (and it's common with nearly all launchers), is the ability to backup your homescreen. Since I always rely on Google to restore my apps (I'm a TiBu-phobe), they always get thrown on my homescreen so it's a quick way to restore it.

It was some custom Icons I had downloaded that now looked too big. Reset and the problem went away.

Really hoping this catches on and someone at google sees it. This really is amazing work and has given my Nexus a completely new and refreshing look. Great work by the devs.

Updated the link. Sorry!

I've yet to even consider a new ROM after this. This thing is brilliant.

It didn't run as smooth on my phone, for example Netflix was very slow, not able to fast-forward flash web clips (the bar at the bottom was missing), and a lot of things looked really small for my sausage fingers, including the home navigation buttons. I went back to AOKP, but will definitively give this a try again probably on the next release. Also my phone ran very hot, I had never felt my phone that hot before. ICS Browswer + was very choppy too.

But the most important thing that made me uninstall was Bluetooth audio was really distorted when playing thru my JVC car head unit... (Pandora & Slacker)
