[Verizon] [ROM] Verizon ICSourcery Version 2.0 Release - The Magic Continues -

will have to look at that one, I just updated mine without issue. Which theme are you on? thinking maybe one of them has a different version of play music than the theme im currently running. FYI, I will be traveling most of the day today so wont be back to you until tomorrow. Thx

I just checked and vending apk is not in any of the themes, only have it in our GAPPS. Did you load our version of gapps? Might try installing just gapps and see if that fixes it for you.
 
I installed the gapps when I installed the ROM. I had the themed Gmail that wouldn't update until I applied the fix.
It isn't the Google play store I can't update, it's play music.

This is a problem ....people want more themed apps. but than themed apps wont update.

quick option goto tools and app manager
than choose menu and choose show system apps
than click on music and uninstall.

than you should be able to install this should work on any app.

Let me know.

I made a copy of Music2.apk then used titanium backup to uninstall it.
Tried installing from the play store and it says incompatible update.
 
did you reboot between deleting the music APK and installing from the market? I just reverted back to stock version and deleted the muic2 apk and rebooted. went to market and downloaded and it loaded up for me. Before that i did get the same error you had, if it makes you feel better :)
 
HI-- ok part of our new make over is to move to a new server which we have been testing but planned on moving to with release 3.0.
Due to the confusion between the 2 servers we decided to switch over to new server as of now.
The main file that is called through tools is still on old server until we release 3.0 but all files are now hosted on the new server. all of this is invisible to you BUT...we have over 3 gigs of stuff on the server so while we tried to double check that everything is linked correctly we may have messed something up.
If you get a preview and a force close when attempt to install this may mean we didnt link the file correctly. if this occurs let us know so we can fix it.

The one thing you will notice is the new server is much faster than the old server.

I believe the red roots and greenalchemy themes should be fixed now.

Sorry for the trouble there was a messup when we tried to update the fixed phone apps.
and the themes were uploaded incomplete.
Thanks for bringing those to our attention. We have made a change in our protocol to insure this does not happen again.

I'm looking forward to the new version.
I would love to option to choose which apps are themed. I really like the stock sourcery phone app and notification icons, but the theme is too dark for gmail as I can't see the labels and it's difficult to see the options tray.
 
so something weird happened today. i went to download a screen transition and when the phone was done rebooting my google account had been wiped off. everything was still intact, apps, settings.... except when i tried to access my gmail or the market it asked me to add an account. I tried again with another transition and nothing happened. the transition i applied when the account was wiped was blur animation, the second one on the list.

I tested the blur animation and did not lose my google account sync.
we are messing with framework so occasionally I guess the os may not like it. but it appears to be a fluke as i did test the blur animation without problem.
Thanks for letting us know so we could test it.
We havent had any problems with with the server switchover which has surprised me im sure i missed something somewhere :)
 
We are at beta 3 probably really beta 30 but 3rd beta released to team.
only 1 more feature i want to add.
if beta 3 goes well and new feature is added working.
we will hit release candidate on saturday. (have to work today )

While we are still a little way off from a release. progress is going well.
We thank those still running ICSourcery at this time
But if you liked Version 2 you aint see nothing yet!
 
A lil birdie told me that anything is possible in 3.0 :)

the coffee maker option is still ab it quirky though
 
I can't update to Gmail 4.0.5 again. I had this problem originally but it was resolved, but last night I had to reinstall the ROM.

I changed my font to courier new from within the ROM and my Nexus wouldn't get past the boot animation.

I applied the Gmail fix from tools, but I can't update it. Every time I try it says the app isn't signed correctly. The last time this happened you had the signature problem fixed.
I couldn't update Gmail from the play store on my phone, I had to push it from the web. That isn't working this time.

Try deleting the gmail apk, reboot, then load from market. should work for you
