Root [Verizon] Rooting help

I'm running 4.1.2 and the sticky says not to try the one click root.
Is there another way and can I use a Mac?

I ended up having to use my old pc to get it done.

I'm currently running CM11/4.4
It's lacking some of the options I'm used to in my galaxy nexus.
Like changing the colors on my notification bar.

You could wipe and roll back to CM10, which probably has more features since it's mature. O/W they'll be adding more to CM11 as time permits.

Any idea why I'm getting a low storage alert while trying to get an app?

Nope. Install Clean Master and do a junk cleanup. Also freespace will tell you where you might be filling up.

It wont let me install anything not one app.

Do you have an external sdcard (that might be failing)? If so, try removing it. O/W you might have to uninstall something you don't use to install something.

I played with it all last evening,
The SD card is fine.
I re installed the ROM and did several clean wipes, finally I didn't turn WiFi on and I installed the app.
It worked.
