Verizon Sale on 4G Extended Batteries

Just thought I would let you guys know that I got when I got an an extended Battery for my kids t-bolt they told me mine would be $59.99 but this morning they told all 4G extended batteries are half off.

Now sporting a Rezound with an extended battery and it weighs about what my old t-bolt did with the standard battery and still feels better in the hand.

After reading this last night I went to check online and the only batteries listed for the Rezound on Verizon's site are external batteries. Either it's an in store only thing or you have to call in to customer service or telesales to get it.

The sale is in Verizon stores only. I got my Rezound extended for 29.98 and got my son a Tbolt one for 24.98 they had mine in stock but overnighted my sons for free.

If you don't have a Verizon corp store near you try calling them and I bet the ship I for free.

No but the sales guy did not seem to know anything about it. I went in there fully expecting to pay $59.99 for the battery and when he rang it up he said it says all 4G extended batteries are on sale and I got my kid one for the T-Bolt for $24.98.

I was really surprised that they seemed not to know about the sale. When I got my rezound on Monday Morning I was asking about the extended battery and they told me $59.99 which made me wait but a couple days passed and I was ready to jump on it and when he rang it up was the first I heard of the sale and appeared to be the first the salesman had too. :)

****VERIFIED****. I picked up my reZound today and asked the vzw guy. He said they are half price until the end of the month.

Just to confirm, official verizon stores only?

No, online also. I went round and round with the CSR's on 611. The first CSR said that it must be instore only.

So I called the nearest store (200 miles away) & they said it was in store, online, and over the phone. They also said that the offer was good until Dec. 31st. I asked if there was some code I could give to the CSR that they could find in their system. She said no but when you go to checkout, the 50% off is automatically applied.

So I called back to *611. This guy knew about it but said it was only for the standard battery. He did confirm that it goes until Dec. 31st.

So I went on Verizon's site. They now have a bunch of accessories on their, including the standard and extended batteries (they didn't as of last night 10pm CST). I added both the standard and extended batteries to my cart and hit checkout and both showed 50% off. I haven't gotten it yet since I'm still deciding if I'm gonna go with a spare standard or an extended battery.

Also, if you buy 3 accessories you get 20% off, and 5 accessories gets you 30% off. I don't know if the 20 & 30% discounts work along with the 50% off of the batteries though.

Right now I'm thinking of going with the car mount from Verizon also. I read the description of the same one (same part #) on HTCPedia and it said there are inserts so it works with either the standard or extended batteries, so that's a plus in my book.

I just ordered mine. It's listed as $59.99. Once check out, it became $29.99. The final cost is $32.65 with tax and free shipping.

I am so happy with the ex battery. The phone still feels good in my hands and I can go a full day with out the need to charge it. It makes the phone perfect IMO..

I second this comment. So now it's "phat", but it feels great in the hand and on the shoulder, something that's difficult to achieve with a skinny phone. Friday I streamed music for 6 hours, navigated for 2 hours, played games for over 2 hours and talked on the phone for 3 hours, NONE of it WiFi, all 4g (wifi on but not paired). And I still had 25% left 18 hours after last charge. That's freedom and a major reason I always go for the extended battery.

How long does this sale last and how much extra room (thickness) does the extended battery add ? Oops a couple of post above it sez till end of month. $30 seems like a decent price for 2700amp battery....

Actually that's not true. I just confirmed for a second time with an in store rep, their sheet shows 50% off standard and extended batteries through December 31, 2011. So you've got a little over a month to get in on it.

I ordered mine last night online. If you want to see how it feels, you have 14 days to try it out. As long as there is no damage to the accessories, they can be returned before 14 days without any restocking fees. They even send you a return label with the order (if you order online or over the phone). My plan is to try out the extended battery (for battery life, signal reception, and feel in the hand) and if it doesn't do well, I'll go with a spare standard battery.

Just one thing--when I first installed my extended battery, a little seal that goes around the speaker port got wadded up a bit, and as a result, my antenna contacts didn't make good contact and, as a result I was not getting good signal reception (big clue was that calls were dropping). Once I fixed the seal and reseated the back, everything was fine (since 7 days ago). Be careful when you install it.

I'm loving the extended battery great feel in your hands. It also now makes the phone last all day. Great Deal at 29.95. I think its a must for 4G and multimedia fans video ate the original battery alive.
Good luck everyone enjoy your new phone. I love it.

My sales guy told me they were half off. Funny part is he messed up, he told me it was gonna come out to $25 so I took it. After he ringed me up, he saw that he messed up and asked a manger to give me the extra $5 off. Went home happy with a brand new Rezound and extended battery for $25, really have no use for it as the stock battery has been plenty enough for me. Might end up selling it instead once the promo ends.

Wow! What a great deal. I'm going to give it a try for the 14 days. Now I just have a nice OEM case that will go to waste - cost almost as much as the battery!

Hello all. First time post but long time lurker.

Just wanted to share some info:
When I logged into Verizon, the price of the extended battery was about 45$.
When I logged off and purchased it as a guest, it was 30$

Verizon trying to steal from it's customers? I dunno.
