verizon screen protector doesn't fit

Hi,
I bought the Verizon screen protectors for the Thunderbolt and noticed that they do not fit the entire screen/cover the glass. Has anyone else noticed this and do you know of a brand that fits the entire glass? I will be returning the Verizon ones because it makes no sense to me to not have the entire glass covered. Am I missing something?
Thanks!

The VZ screen protectors are designed to cover the screen. Which from what I have on mine is exactly what it covers. It does not cover the keys at the bottom (Home,Menu,Return,Search).

Not sure it's that big of a deal.

If I am going to protect the screen from scratches, for me, I want to protect all of it including the buttons under the glass. Plus something that goes to the edge would seem less likely to come off and having a slight bump seems unnecessary. Again, does anyone know of a screen protector that goes to the edge of the glass for the Thunderbolt?
Thanks!

Yeah, the vzw protectors don't seem to ever cover the whole face, just the actual screen. Was that way on my Inc too. I use them as a stopgap until my BestSkinsEver or Seido full face protectors get here. Those cover from frame to frame and are crystal clear, no orange peel effect like Zagg's Invisible shields.

I'm using a cheap static protector I got off of eBay and it covers all of the glass. I would be annoyed, too, if only the display part of the screen was covered and the rest wasn't.

They did that because of previous users complaining that the screen protectors were interfering with the keys. Alot of so-called in house skins do that now. I use them and like the idea myself... they work well...

Truly appreciate all the info. I now feel educated (history as to why they changed them in the first place) and will try one out that protects the whole face. If it does interfere, I know where to get the other ones!
Thanks everyone.

Yeah I have the Verizon screen protector, and I must admit I like how the screen feels (not as good as a naked glass screen, but a lot better than previous protectors).
