Can I ask how did you flash the image . was it in PDA

The stock image? Yes.. PDA (AP in the new version). Completes successfully. Just, wont boot in to it.

TWRP is telling me no OS exists.Still won't let me flash NAND backup, fails at the "system install" part of the process.

I'm close to doing the repair assistant in the VZW app that everyone uses for soft bricks.. but i feel like there should be a better fix since i really dont have a brick that i can tell. ODIN says it works. Just isn't functioning when i reboot.

I dont want to lose my unlocked bootloader etc.. but, i need my damn phone.

I couldn't get you back to stock if you Dont have the correct firmware . you would only be able to stay at 4.4 reason for this is you brought it like this rooted in all if you know the person take it back ask if they can restore all stock features . now the stock file doesn't have things like the KitKat your using of I was you I would stay at the KitKat custom rom neighborhood

I bought it used on swappa like 6 months ago..there isn't any way to go back anywhere.

I'm fine with custom 4.4, thats what i want. I hate 4.3, and i need a ROM so that i can wifi tether without issue.

But how do i get there?

All of the tethering is through your carrier . if carrier will allow you to so I can't say anything but try a app for tethering.

What carrier are you with and are you unlocked or not

Its the name of the ROM . pick one of the highlighted titles it will download to the PC or phone . take that ROM and put on the root of the SD card and boot into the recovery and you should know what to do from there
