[Verizon] Tethering

Glad to see your on the right side of the fence but what I meant is that you cannot compare 'being charged twice for the same data' to 'being restricted from using your personal voice/data services to run a text based business or use as a business line'.

On tiered plans I don't think of it as paying for data twice rather being forced to buy a larger plan regardless of need. I knew what you were saying and both the items I posted would have been business use of your personal line. For that matter what if someone is tethering to host a web cam show that you must pay to view.
if those exist;)

IMO the ideal tiered plan would be pay per GB that allowed you to do what you like and pay for it

You're right on that first point, my mistake. I overlooked the fact that you are getting an additional 2GB for those $20. So they literally are forcing you to pay for a bigger, unnecessary data plan because of the way the data is used.

EDIT: LMAO, and for that web cam example. I have no problem whatsoever with them adding to the ToS that we cannot use tethering for a profitable business (similar to the restriction you mentioned on hosting a subscription based text service).

This, to me, is just a money making scheme.

Yeah, they are. I don't like the tiered tethering plans ;) unlimited tethering however I understand why they do it and think it is proper :D

It is a money making scheme. I would love for them to add it to the ToS as well it would make reading it much better...:)
