Root [Verizon] Thinking About Selling How do I Manage Security?

I'm thinking about selling my Note 2 and moving to something a little newer. My concern is how do I make sure I don't leave anything on the phone when I sell it.

I'm rooted with bootloader access runing 4.1.2. I think that there is value to the next owner keeping it rooted but I also want to make sure I completely wipe all my personal info from the phone.

Can this be done?

From settings: factory reset & wipe sdcard.

You can also boot into recovery, and wipe data, both caches and sdcard. <-- I like this better
