Root [Verizon] Towelroot Method (4.4.2)

Can you get into the system did you make a backup this problem sounds like your not ROOTED .or didn't finish root process . and maybe such as was mentioned in the thread earlier where you need to upgrade your kernel . many things to do before root
 
I understand I'm not much help at this point. Frustrating when I followed the steps and the SS fails to open. I appreciate your helping me as much as you could. I will figure it out at some point.

Yes, I did root with towel root.

EDIT:
Downloaded a root checker and saw where busybox was not installed. I installed it and reran the safestrap app and it worked. Crazy, huh...

Now, did I read earlier that roms needed to be in the Stock slot or can I install in slot 1?
 
You can try the stock slot. But I know KitKat cyanogenmod works in slot1. But let's work on getting the phone to get into the system
 
I have it working like it should now. I can get into safestrap upon boot like it should. Just needed to install busybox for it to install properly.

Now I want to go ROM crazy...LOL
 
Everything seems to be working like it should now, just have not flashed a Rom.

I have some files you will need to keep in a safe place or just come back to this thread.

This is the full stock file and instructions on how to get device back to stock just in case you have a failure.

That URL has the firmware and Odin files to correct problems . it will correct by putting you back to 100% stock unrooted all that .

Now this other URL is tricky it has everything you need such as n2kernel the towel root and also explain the STOCK SLOT on the recovery . now this URL

Also has the stock rooted firmware and etc so if you wiped your slot stuck cause you didn't use the recovery the correct way :eek::D o its funny I did I somehow erased my whole SD card and internal device . so be careful . if you do here is the path to start and get you on your way

Cyanogenmod nightlies are just builds that the dev fixes and makes updates to NIGHTLY . NOW snapshot and the M8 M9 are monthly builds.

I have at&t sgh i317 note 2 on 4.4.2 last updated march so its before june and I cant seem to ROOT fir anything in the world ive tried odin an all those framaroot an now I have towelroot an it wont work still I found how to change the band by tapping towelroot 3 times an it lets me change it for my phone but it still wont root my phone I NEED HELP ASAP PLEASE
 
Hello and welcome to the forums . sorry but can I get this straight towel root was told to you it works on note 2 devices . can you point me in that direction of the thread . . CF ROOT was the only one TOWEL ROOT doesn't work on note 2 .
