[Verizon] Trouble shooting reboots?

My phone's been rebooting, generally after getting a voicemail or text message.

I got a replacement phone a bit back. I'm on Sourcery 4.5, restored from a nandroid from the first phone. I was having reboots on Sourcery 5.0 more frequently than now, which is why I went backwards.

How would I go about trouble shooting?

send us a logcat.... open it up and let it run.. try what your doing that makes it reboot and send the file...

First step would be to do a factory reset from recovery, and run the phone for a while to see if your phone reboots without any apps on it.

If it still reboots, return it to stock and see if you still have problems.

Reboots are generally caused by a bad ROM install. Data files or apps may be tangled with the system files.

You could run a logcat and try and figure out a root cause. But it may not be able to be pinned down to one particular thing.

I can say that since Sourcery 5.1.5, I haven't had a single reboot as of yet. I don't have as many apps installed back as I usually do, but most of them were games and glitzy things. So far though, it's been stable as heck for me.
