Root [Verizon] UGH!!!

I ordered my Galaxy Note 2 on the 17th from Best Buy, and it shipped around 2:30 that afternoon. I was soooooooooo looking forward to rooting it I REALLY hope that it doesn't come with the exploit already patched!

I really doubt it will. Those phones are sitting in a warehouse all packaged up for weeks before they're sent out. Just be careful of when you're activating it and it says there's an update.

Thanks Mike thats what I'm hoping! I think I will be able to root it before I activate it with the sim card. I seem to remember my Rezound would run without a sim card...

Not to spoil the fun, but I find that this thing performs so well that rooting is less of a necessity than a few of my prior phones. You are, of course, going to disable other software from taking advantage of the exploit after rooting, right?

Hi Puppa. I selected disable exploit if thats what u are referring too?

Once you root, how and where do you select disable update? Just curious as I would like to be able to root.

What I was referring to was disabling the exploit in rooting method I used. But I disabled my updates by freezing the SDM.apk. I was only able to do this immediately after rooting. I don't know another way...
