[Verizon] Unable to launch ROM

Long story short. Went from PA3.68 to Mmuzy 4.3. Everything worked booted and was installing apps. After a reboot the system froze at Google screen (with unlock symbol)

After a few battery pulls and a couple of tries at reinstalling 4.3 ROM, decided to go back to 4.2.2 PA.

First tried a Nandroid restore...same issue of freezing at Google screen.

Lastly have done factory reset(for 4th time) and reinstall of 4.2.2 pa3.68 and PA Gapps.

Same issue, phone will not move past Google boot screen.

Did you also wipe dalvik cache in addition to your factory reset? How long did you wait at the Google screen after restoring your nandroid. Really surprised that didn't work.

yes on dalvik. over 2min on the google screen. never seen it delay on that screen, mine is usually delayed on the rom boot screen

am currently trying the nexus toolkit from xda. after downloading and installing stock rom(without system reset) still froze on google screen.

i do notice an error when once again attempting to restore from cwm. after the line restoring data i get this

error while restoring /data!

after selecting to wipe dalvik i get this message on the following line... E: unknown volume for path [/sd-ext], next line notes dalvik is wiped

well... i guess we can moved this to solved.

Did a full system wipe.

I am back and able to use my phone...lost some files but nothing i can't live without.

This could be totally irrelevant, but I would also sometimes get the error while restoring data or whatever and the nandroid wouldn't work. The solution I found, which could just be coincidence is not naming the backup. Whenever i would change the name in the Clockwork mod app to, say, AOKP m6 backup or something like that, the nandroid would never work.

Thanks, in this case it wasn't renamed. It was though my 1st and only with CWM after changing from twrp earlier in the week.

I am back to twrp and was able to install and am running the MMuzzy 4.3 build. Outside of having to reRoot all is very smooth.
