[Verizon] Verizon app removal

Anyone know which apks to kill and if there are any consequences for killing backup assistant, verizon login (cached), or my verizon mobile (cached)? Sorry if this has been covered already, I haven't seen anything about it.

Obviously I'm rooted and I don't really want to freeze them with TIB, I would rather delete them.

There shouldn't be any issues with removing the VZW bloat. But sometimes updates have been known to fail if bloatware is removed on phones so I suggest making a backup of them before removing them so you can restore if needed (if you are planning on taking OTA updates)

I would also suggest freezing first and rebooting to make sure they don't cause any issues not being there (they shouldn't but you never know)

Not sure what login is but i dont expect the other two to be a problem. When in doubt freeze first. If all is well, then sick Chuck Norris mode on them.

Titanium Backup won't freeze VZ Backup Assistant. I've tried it several times. It says it's a success but it doesn't do it.

I would think you can remove Backup assistant without any issues.

Edit: I moved this to the VZW Gnex root forum due to this being a VZW related question.

Yeah I haven't had any problems with each of the apps I mentioned above disabled. For some reason my Titanium wasn't freezing them, so I just added .bak to all of them at first. They are all located in system/app.

why not just disable it via ICS built in functionality? i did that with backup assistant before i even left the store...
