[Verizon] verizon Galaxy nexus

I have a Verizon Galaxy Nexus that I bought on ebay about a week ago. itcame with no SIM card. So before doing proper research I bought a straight talk sim/umlimited plan.

1.) They sent me the wrong size sim card so i had to cut it down to fitmy vzw gnex...
2.) surprise surprise...my gnex wont recognize my sim WHICH also btw has had my old cricket phone number already ported to it. !!!!!!!!!!!! im lost and pissed because i think i wasted the $250 i senpt onthis phone + the straight talk service. PLEASE tell me theres some xda magic I can use to fix my problem. i love this phone just dont have(and cant get and dont want) verizon service...

Ha. Sorry about that. Been at this for awhile and I'm starting to go a little crazy.

If I could get a sim card that would fit ((micro/mini) I forget which one) would that possibly solve my issue? So far I can't even change my APN settings. THERE IS NO OPTION! Again I'm on Verizon gnex which I rooted and am running aopk jb. No Verizon sim. Just a Straight talk att sim that doesn't fit and when I cut it the phone still won't recognize it...

if you mean AT&T sim i dont think it will work with a verizon phone... could be wrong, you need to go through your carrier to get the one you need

(im new at all this so i could be 100% wrong, so bare with me)...is there any way to enable my cdma version of the gnex, with what i believe is a micro sim card tray, to work with a third party gsm carrier which reguires a sim card? where should i look for this if its even possible.. thanks again for the response

FROM THE STRAIGHT TALK WEBSITE:::
BRING AN AT&T OR T-MOBILE COMPATIBLE GSM PHONE, OR AN UNLOCKED GSM PHONE

You bought a CDMA phone. they are not compatible technologies.

There is a GSM version of the phone. Hopefully, you can re-sell the phone on E-bay and buy the correct phone.

thanks for the help guys. bad move on my part. I thought that unlocking this cdma gnex would do the trick. all i did was unlock the bootloader i guess. anyway, thanks guys.
