Anyone confirm that international version have the option to move apps over 1gb to SD card natively? Go tin to application manager, select app, option to move to SD?

You only listed what you perceive as negatives. What about the positives?

Better coverage
More 4G Coverage
Global capable
Removable SIM
NFL Mobile (free radio brodcasts of all NFL games)

Those are all good reasons to be on VZW, which I am happy with and thus have not changed carriers. However, it doesn't change the fact that they are in many ways, screwing customers.

Verizon has great speed, but they charge you an arm and a leg for it. Getting rid of unlimited data was just icing on the cake.

Why can't carriers just give us one universal setup, then just add their own carrier specific apps.

The carrier branded ones are there to diversify themselves, the same way the manufacturers use skins.

Other ones they're paid to have on the device

I understand what you're saying, but given the example of the OP, Verizon's multi-window capabilities doens't include YouTube nor Gmail. Since both are free apps wouldn't it cheaper to get the same multi window capabilities so you can use both apps?

Why spend money modifying the set-up if it will lessen it's capabilities?

..... Thinking about it, maybe it could be incompatibility issues with the carrier specific apps.... Just a thought.

Understanding what the OP feels. There are just some things that should've been standard across the board. The things V removed- did they put something of their own in it's place?

Simply stated Verizon is the best of the worst. I have tried 3 carriers and they are all terrible including Verizon but Verizon is the "least terrible". At least they have fast 4G and usually better coverage in most areas. Less dropped calls also in my experience.

Sprint has terrible coverage for voice and data. AT&T is just that AT&T and they drop calls more and have huge billing problems along with good luck customer service. Have not tried T-Mobile but several friends have all tried and quickly left due to bad coverage.

1. Coverage is dependent on individual situation. I know that I can only get signal in my Brooklyn apartment if I'm sitting next to the window. I often get zero signal standing outside in midtown Manhattan, and when traveling my colleague on t-mobile frequently has signal where I don't, the reverse has never happened.

2. 4G coverage - Doesn't LTE also use much more battery life vs. HSPA, for not that much difference in practical speed? (For me I have trouble imaging what I would need high speed data for on a mobile phone, I upgraded at home from 3MBPS to 15MBPS a little while ago, and there's not a whole lot of difference for anything except downloading updates)

3. Aren't the other versions (with the exception of Sprint) already global capable?

4. Ditto

5. Maybe useful to some, to me this is bloatware.

I'm on Verizon because for me it is the cheapest option since work picks up half the tab, but I have trouble understanding the benefits that Verizon offers beyond that, unless you happen to be one of those people who don't have adequate coverage by another carrier.

Verizon in Seattle for me was a mess data wise. With my 4G HTC Thunderbolt the data service was maybe at best a 5 out of 10. Don't know if it was my phone's fault or not. It was so bad I switched to 3G for the phone and somewhow it performed better.
Now I have Sprint and paying more for it, I keep my fingers crossed 4G LTE with Sprint will more than make up for it.

I love NFL mobile, def keeps me up to date if I'm missing a game. I'm hoping they give more options with their updates but if they don't I'm not gonna cry about it. The phone is still Fab and I get the best 4G on Verizon :)

That's why I stick with Verizon.
I travel a lot and have found it to be by FAR the most reliable carrier.
What good is a fancy phone if you can't use it?

Now if you're in a good coverage area for those other carriers and don't plan on traveling, then I can understand using them, but for me I'll take service over a feature I really don't care about anyday.

Hey everyone, just came across this forum and this subject...I was irked about the lack of headphones, especially after spending $300 for the phone, seemed ludicrous.
About the blocking mode, I dont know if anyone on the thread has mentioned it yet but it does exist on the Verizon based Galaxy Note II. After going through all the settings searching for it, I used Google's Gesture Search from the Play Store (which is by far the one of the best apps to have on your phone IMHO)to find it and I did. Once the Blocked Mode is set it stays in your notification drop down and no need to go searching for it again. As far as the the missing wifi toggle, I have an unobstrusive transparent background wifi toggle (SwitchPro Widget) sitting out of the way in the corner of my default screen and there at my fingertip if I need it. Updates to the multi window app availability are forthcoming (but no timeframe) Want more options with your home button? Use Nova Launcher; not only will you have more options with your home button, you'll be able to customize practically everything else....the best launcher around, again in IMHO.... As far as that Verizon logo on the home button....really?? With a 5.5' inch amoled screen in all its glory and THAT'S what you're looking at?? Sigh....smh....okay I'm done :D
