Root [Verizon] What rom are you guys running?

I started off with cleanROM. I got bored, so I tried out carbon and aicp, since theyre both 4.3.1... and cROM is 4.2.2. I didnt like either at all. Within an hour I was wiping and reflashing clean. Ill be sticking with clean unless a stable 4.4 is put out, then maybe Ill try that.

I'm running Malladus. It's stock but with some custom tweaks. Personally the only thing I would like from a CM ROM would be theme engine. This phone has a few LG apps that I actually like using and the stock theme isn't too bad. There are some neat tweaks happening with the Xposed app that allows you to theme the stock ROM.

I've been using malladus for a few days now, cleanrom before that. Both are great stock-based roms, but malladus has been getting updates occasionally for tweaks which has been appeasing my need to flash something every now and then.

I've tried a few of the 4.3 roms but LG put some nice little features in the stock setup that keeps making me come back.

So far pretty good. It's very close to stock but with a ton of options. I'm digging it so far, but at the same time it's nearly identical to the setup on my Gnex and S3 before it (for better or worse).

What version are you running and how's the battery/wake lock situation? I noticed that they have a couple nightlies but no stable builds yet.

I'm on the 10/31 build. Battery life thus far seems normal, but I'm still spoiled with the G2's battery anyway. Haven't found any bugs yet, just bummed about losing the LG camera and that knock off still doesn't work.

Not sure what other options there are for gestures, but Ive been using a lock app tied to double-tap on Nova.

As far as losing the LG camera, is it be cause the LG camera was built for 4.2.x? When I used cleanROM or Malladus, which are both 4.2.2, the LG camera is still there. But it seems that a lot of people on XDA are asking for the stock camera for AOSP roms.

Sidenote, were you able to use titanium when going from 4.2 to 4.3.1? Whenever I try to flash any of the 4.3x roms, titanium hangs a 0% when trying to restore.

Did you do anything specific to get it to restore? Im stuck with 4.2 until I can solve the issue. I already tried the options Ive read about... redirecting to legacy folder, uninstalling whatever was there and installing superSU... nothing has worked.

Nope, all I did was reboot. Or maybe I force stopped Titanium while it was hanging and started over, can't recall. Try both of those. Finally, you can try allowing the Play Store to restore your apps and use Titanium to restore the app data.

Giving CleanROM a shot. I miss the LG Camera, knock off and a few other things. With Nova, I don't mind LG's software. A little bored with AOSP, although KK is really slick on my Gnex. :)
Probably will wait for a stock 4.4 build before I go back to AOSP.

I've run them all and here's my current ranking

4.3 roms

AICP
Carbon
AOKP
Vanir
OSE

4.4
Gummy
CM11
PA

Though I like what LG did with the phone as soon as the AOSP based roms started dropping I flashed them right away and havent looked back since. I restored back to stock a couple of times but quickly miss the features I get from the custom AOSP based roms. You compared the builtin features you get with a rom like AICP, Carbon, or Even a stripped down one like CM and it just blows away anything the companies do. I did enjoy running the stock rom for a month though and had it setup nicely, but even with all the mods it just lacks the user experience I seek.

As long as I can get the LG camera and whatever hack it takes to knock off, I'm going to run AOSP. :)
Now, if AOKP can bake in the multi-window feature to a 4.4 ROM from the LG Flex, it would be the best.

I had this device for 3 weeks and still haven't gotten the itch to leave the stock rom. Heavily modded stock, but stock just the same.

I really don't mind the stock ROM either. :)
AOSP 4.3 was pretty blah for me but stock KK is quite nice.

My rooted with recovery G2 is asking to update. Can someone provide a link to a good(I know, matter of opinion) ROM.

I'm still on 4.2.2 and I'm going to use Voodoo Rootkeeper for now, apparently it doesn't work on 4.3. I have to do other things today before work today.
