Help Verizon wireless notification

I keep getting an alert and have no idea what it is...I just checked 'Notifications' (Menu--notifications) and I have a 'clear' box next to Verizon Wireless. Is this the alert I keep getting and what the heck is it?

Umm...Go to the top of your home screen and drag the window shade down to see any notifications. If none are there, you have no notifications. The clear box is there to remove notifications that have been dealt with. You really shouldn't have a clear box if there isn't any notification below.

Yep, pull down the top notification bar. I can tell by the brief display if it is something I want to goto, then I tap it and it takes me in. Or, if I see it is nothing I want to deal with I hit Clear and reset the notification for all items.
