Ok i am looking for information. I am thinking about getting the nexus 7 verizon version. Is it really worth it? or can is it best just to do wifi?

If you want to access the Internet away from a wifi connection it might be worth it to you. I went with the 32GB wifi version and use it at home as well as when traveling and at a place that has wifi available. The nav app I use (Sygic) has maps stored on the tablet, so I don't need data for that. I have data available on my smart phone which is always with me, so I have not missed a data connection on my tablet.

With me my cable company has so much free (for customers) public wi fi its almost as if I had a data plan with a cell company!

I got the 4g LTE version from Verizon for my birthday and like having a fast connection at all times. I use mine for work and don't always get wifi at all of my sites.

Unless you want a price break and a 2-year contract, I'd buy my Nexus from Google or a retailer (I did) and then take it to your carrier of choice.

The device is unlocked, and will work on all networks that will accept it. I don't think Verizon can turn you away if you don't buy it from them, but I'm not sure. They probably load some bloat on their version, but I have no evidence to substantiate that. I think the T-Mo version has some of their crap on it.

It's absolutely worth the LTE, I often get performance better than my Comcast cable internet, and I'm using T-Mobile.

Seems worth it if you think you'll need to be on the tablet when away from WiFi. But don't forget you'll be paying the basic data included plan whether you use data or not. I was just at their store today and the min. talk/text/data plan is $45.00. I did get that for my husband but for me I went with the per use plan on my basic cell phone. The reason I'm going with that is because I can and do make a lot of free calls from my WiFi rigged home using my Nexus 7 2013 tablet.

I bought my Nx 7 (2013) LTE/T-Mobile on Google Play, got a free-for-life 200 MB/month T-Mobile data plan--and I could not be happier. I always preload my data-gobbling maps on wi-fi (just say 'OK maps'), I also selectively turned off wireless updating of the few apps that gobble the data in the background (Weather.com, Wa-Po and a few others) and found that 200 MB is quite enough for my occasional off wi-fi needs--but I do not watch movies on my free wireless plan! :)

After a long and exhausted few days and deciding and research i decided to just go for the wifi only.
