Verizon's XOOM page goes live

I've found signing up at Verizon (or other companies) websites to be a waste. You get information way quicker on forums or regular websites, and you get a lot of spam from Verizon afterwards.

I've experienced that in the past too. My experience with VZW has been different though. I signed up for information for the Droid Incredible when it was on testman before it went live. Was actually pretty funny. Someone was clearly working on the graphical interface and put it up briefly to see what it would look like and got hundreds of folks signing up on their test website. Within about 10 minutes it was back down and that particular page was password protected. Anyway, those of us that signed up early were notified first and I didn't get any spam from them. Sure, those that didn't sign up were able to see the screen shots from the emails that came to those of us that signed up, but it was still nice to get the email.

For those of you that don't know about testman, here it is: Verizon Wireless Testman. It's kinda nice to go on and browse around in especially when something new is getting ready to come out. Most of the time it's exactly the same as the regular site but you can get lucky from time to time.
