Versus Touchtab 8 - Unrooting issue

[crimsonknight3]

Hey all,

I recently bought a Versus touchtab 8 second hand and it turnt itself off a few times so I downloaded the latest img from their website and installed it and it hasn't turnt itself off. So once stable I decided to install the apps i use most, sky go, bbc iplayer, demand 5 etc however I found out that apparently the Versus firmware is rooted as standard and I cannot find ANY image for this tablet that isn't rooted.. I've tried all the unrooting apps that are free and none work, one tells me the SU binary needs to be updated however (SuperSU) can't install the update, it either fails or if you use the custom recovery option absoulutely nothing happens. Im quite stumped as Im normally good at finding information around the internet... I am seriously considering getting rid of this tablet though.... The wi-fi speed it receives is astonishingly slow!! it is nowhere near the speed my phone/laptop/my partners phone/desktop get.

I tried that, but it doesn't come preinstalled with a super user app, if I use a root remover program it says Google play is the super user program
